Equestrian
Sir Kean de Lacy, the Equestrian Marshal, is planning TWO different draft schedules (one for good weather and one for hot weather)! There are possibilities for mounted combat, ground-to-mounted combat, mounted archery, jereeds (thrown spear tag), birjas (throw a stick through a ring and catch it), and obstacle skills including reeds and heads (sword skills), and rings and quintain (lance skills). Spectators are welcome to watch as the equestrians practice throughout the week and then have friendly competitions at the end of the war. Email Sir Kean with any questions, Here.
There will also be a Meet-and-greet open to the populace from noon to 1pm, Wednesday through Saturday. All attendees of An Tir West War are invited to come and meet the horses.
Equestrian is at the East end of the war site.
